Back To Blogging :-)

Yup, I know...I've neglected this blog for almost a year now. But no worries...since this one just happens to be my favorite...I'm back! I've been having trouble trying to decide how to separate the many different parts of my life like eating (major!), mothering, working and trying to get back in shape. So since I couldn't quite decide how to split them up without having 10 different blogs, I've decided to pick a topic for each day of the week....we'll see how it goes :-/

I took these pics with my phone of the ponies eating our chips and twizzlers. I'll post better pics from my camera soon! Assateague was awesome!

Assateague Beach Bound!

Hey Dolls! This weekend has been a total drag. The one good thing about it though is that I was able to work some overtime, so I'm looking forward to the extra mulah coming in (and believe me it's much needed). My plan for tomorrow is to get up early, pack some lunches, blankets, books, my beach chair, beach umbrella, beach towels and Dimple Face...and head off to Assateague Island for the day. It's a small island located about 2 hours away from us and it has wild ponies that roam the beach as well as hiking and walking trails. I'm hoping it'll be a fun but relaxing day and I plan to get some reading done. I think Dimple Face will love to see ponies on the beach...I just have to remind him not to feed them. I'll post pics as well on here and also on my Summer Of My Life blog. See ya soon dolls!

When Sleep Calls

Today was not so productive. The heat here in Maryland has been unbearable and even in the cool confines of my parents air conditioned dwelling...it's still HOT! I spent most of the day off from work doing pretty much nothing but watching crime documentaries and drifting in and out of dream land. I don't know if it's the heat outside or the fact that I'm just exhausted but it felt like I just coudn't get up and moving today. I managed to cook a not-so-impressive breakfast but at lunchtime I woke up just long enough to order Dimple Face a pizza and read a few pages of my book (which I love btw). Dimple Face made it through the day surfing the net for video game cheat codes and math games. My dad made the most incredible crab soup for dinner using some leftover crabs and healthy choice vegetable soup...and saving me the trouble of crawling from under my fluffy duvet and crisp sheets to slave over the HOT stove. All in all the day was a waste and tomorrow it's back to work and then to Fuji's for sushi and saki (which I'd planned to do today). Hope I get SOMETHING accomplished on my next day off, but right now my get up and go is on E.

The Mommy Group

Hey there again Dolls! If you're friends with me on facebook then you know that I'm "attempting" to start a mommy group. This is a new idea so I'm still brainstorming but I wanted to give you a little info, so that you know what it's all about. The plan is to get some mommies and kiddies together every so often and do some fun activities like visiting museums, the zoo, bowling nights, skating nights, movies and playdates along with at least one planned vacation during the year. We can do things with the kids as simple as just meeting up to take them out to breakfast, lunch or dinner, meeting at the beach for a picnic/cookout or taking them to nearby states to visit kids museums or whatever else I can think of. I also plan to get the mommies together at least once a month for a "mommies only" night (maybe dinner, maybe a club, maybe a spa day or weekend) where we can have some time away from being mommies and relax. To start things off I'm planning an ice cream social at either Coldstone Creamery or Bruesters so that all the mommies and kiddies can meet and come up with some ideas. I think this will be a good thing for our kids to get out and explore and experience some things outside of Chuck E. Cheese and the neighborhood playground and it will also build their social skills. So this is my objective thus far...hope you're still interested! Oh yeah, I guess we can include single daddies as well...lol
