Hey Dolls! I said that I'd check in today to let you know how the first day of my re-organization project went, so here it is. I feel like I accomplished more yesterday than I have in months! I woke up bright and early as planned and immediately got started on laundry. While I sorted all SEVEN loads and waited on the first one to finish, I looked up a great recipe for french toast and made it for breakfast along with some green tea with blueberry honey. By the time breakfast was over it was time to put in another load of laundry and afterwards I took advantage of the sunshine to make some sweet sun tea. I also took out everything for dinner and gave the kitchen a good cleaning. Did I mention it was only 9am when I got all this done? So...I must say, the morning was quite productive. I got in some reading and caught up on some reality tv (my guilty pleasure) and also took a much needed nap. I love that Dimple Face is so independent and knows how to entertain himself with art, reading and video games. It makes it so easy to get things done around the house when you don't have to stop every five minutes to get this, fix that, help with this, etc...
Though the morning went by quickly and I was able to do alot...by afternoon I felt myself losing momentum and found it a huge challenge to not stay curled up under the covers with my book...but I got up and got myself back in gear. I finished off all the laundry, made some lunch, brought in the sun tea and also made an awesome batch of sugar cookies (from scratch)! As tired as I was, I was surprised that I kept myself energized and motivated enough to make it to the gym for a 45 minute workout. I felt great afterwards. My aunt who was visiting from Louisiana came over to visit for her last night in town so I made dinner (porkchops, spanish rice and peas) and more sweet sun tea! Needless to say, I was BEAT by 10pm. Just enough spunk left to take a hot shower and fall asleep TRYING to read my book. I hope I can keep this going until i have everything back under control. I'll keep you posted dolls!
